...
Ok, now that you're back from rereading my first piece of origional fiction, let's get on with this story!
...
Chapter one: Awakening

A girl with pale pink hair ran down the street, her school bag flinging wildly about on her shoulders. A few miles away a girl with orange hair parked her
car and grabbed her books out of the passenger seat. On the steps of their school two girls, one with blue hair and the other green stood waiting for their
friends. In the trees a girl with gray hair sat watching the four girls make their way into school.

Maya sighed, "They won't even remember. The fight between Reyoko and the other keepers was only a week but they won't remember it." Maya sighed again and
looked over to where her staff was laying next to her. She remembered how she had created it when she knew that the final battle was approaching. She still
had her scythe but she liked the staff better. She heard the school bell ring and shrugged, "Pointless really I'm nothing but a weirdo around here." Maya
jumped down from the tree she was sitting in and headed into the school for another long day.

A few miles away two girls stood over a third. One girl had white hair down to the middle of her back. She was the dream keeper the one who specialized
in dreams and memories. The other had pale blue hair that went down to her shoulders with slightly longer parts hanging over her shoulders. This girl was
the Crystal keeper, the one who could handle the crystal element. "Remind me why we are standing over a dead corps during the middle of the day Kiry,"
said the blue haird woman.

The white hare woman sighed, "Because Syria we need to bring Rianna back and this is the perfect time to do that.".

The two girls stood over Rianna's body with unreadable looks on their faces. Syria placed her hand on Rianna's head and the three people disappeared in
a flash of orange light.

Maya saw Yama watching her as she entered the room and then turned back to finish her conversation with Kege. She sat down for her class but felt that something
was wrong so she stepped out to take a quick look around. She jumped on top of a tree and reached out with her darkness powers. She sensed a dormant power
that shouldn't have been there. "She is supposed to be dead. She can't be back, I watched her die!"

"Rianna is back Maya," said Syria stepping out of the shadows she was hiding in.

"Syria, What are you doing here. Why did you bring her back.

"History is repeating itself Maya. What happened once before will happen again," said Syria glaring at Maya.

"And the other keepers," asked the darkness keeper.

"Don't be stupid Maya. They're memories are blocked. You should know that,"

said Syria turning away and phasing into the shadows.

Maya watched as Syria left and groaned. She turned and leapt away to think about that the fact was that the keepers need their memories again. "The good
thing is that once they get their memories back they won't have to be trained again," she thought as she fell asleep.

Rianna felt like her body had led weights attached to it. There was a rosy glow behind her eyes and she slowly opened them and saw the dream keeper sitting
near the head of her bed.

"Kiry, what the hell happened to me. I died so why am I alive again.," said Rianna noticing that her voice was ruff and scratchy. Kiry waited for Syria
to come back before telling the girl what happened. Rianna just simply nodded and fell asleep again.

Chapter two: Enter, Malik

Hundreds of slimy bats flew into a clearing late at night. Orange cat eyes glimmered at the sight of his blood kin. A crimson cape was shrugged off and
hung on a tree. Long black and silver hair framed a pale face that had blood dripping down it from a pair of glissening white fangs. Malik was a vampire
lord and enjoyed toying with unsuspecting victoms. He had an idea that only people of power deserve to live.

Maya had taken to circling the city at night. She needed something to do. Knowing that Rianna was alive again brought up a whole meriod of memories. Some
she enjoyed, others she didn't ever want to remember. As Maya was circling the city Rianna was looking for her. There used to be a time where the two were
lovers as well as sisters. She wanted to be that way again and she wanted to make sure everything was alright. On Rianna's second loop of the city the
two ran into each other.

"Um Maya, if you intend on running into me please let me know," said Rianna expecting to be engulfed in her lover's arms again. She wasn't mistaken. Maya
pulled Rianna against her.

"You know this is the second time I've gotten you back, I don't want to lose you again, I want things to be the way they were. We have a giant problen,"

"Maya you're babbling. Slow down and start from the beginning," said Rianna placing a quick kiss on the top of Maya's head. The two moved over to a tree
to talk. Rianna had already taken care of the Keepers' memories.

"I get a feeling that this has happened before," said Rianna sighing and looking at maya.

"At least this time I have no asperations of getting into a fight with Reyoko and Nemesis owing to the fact that they are dead," Rianna started to laugh
and Maya wasn't too fare behind.

The two keepers were joined by Syria and Kiry who invited Maya to come home with them after they saw Rianna's interactions with her. The four independent
keepers were unaware of Malik watching them from the tree across from them. He now knew who to go after. He wanted to get information from either this
Reoko or Nemesis. He didn't know where to find them but he would. Malik smerked as he watched the four girls head back to the city. He knew that the keepers
would be a very challenging target and the rush of excitement he felt was enough to drive him mad. Malik let out a long hissing laugh and leapt into the
shadows.

Chapter three: Enter, Mayko

"The return of the blood. A twist to end all twists. A bond will be broken forever. Someone will be betrayed in both body and mind,"

Rianna looked at Kiry

"Dammed prophecy,"

Kiry being the dream keeper was known to spout prophecies that were always true and very random. The last one she had given was when Rianna was thinking
about leaving Reyoko years ago. Rianna had a hunch of what it meant but she didn't know for sure. "Maya would never betray us, she would never betray me!
What if she did though," Rianna told Maya that she was going out for a walk

"The return of the blood, that could only mean one thing. Blood Keeper. I haven't seen Mayko in years. She was the daughter of Reyoko and Nemesis but was
nothing like them. We were always best friends and sometimes more until her parents found out. They killed her right in front of me unless"

Rianna walked around town for a few hours. The thought of seeing her friend again knowing that she did the same thing that she had done well Our darling
lightening keeper has a lot to think about.

Malik stood in front of a cave that seemed to emanate a very powerful amount of dark energy. He headed in putting on his most vicious sneer. He headed in
back where there was an eerily still pool of water. He saw a figure slowly rise up out of it.

"Lord Malik, I am the one you seek. I am Reyoko. Unfortunately my wife Nemesis can not join us. The Keepers of darkness earth and lightening vaporized her.
Oh I'm sorry Have you heard of the keepers before now,"

"Yes I have heard of them," Malik interrupted.

The spirit of Reyoko continued, "Maya is the keeper of darkness. She is on our side but no one knows it yet. The lightening keeper is a major thorn in my
side. Then there is my daughter who I need to ask you to find. I want the four keepers of fire, earth, wind and water to suffer like I have."

A women with shoulder length crimson hair with longer strands tied into a braid which fell to the middle of her back strolled down the main street of the
city. Her violet eyes took in nothing but were seeing everything. She was looking for one person in particular her old friend Rianna. She knew that Rianna
would be here but she didn't know where.

"Ria where are you," she thought bitterly wiping a tear from her closed eyes.

Rianna was passing by the main street of town when she heard a thought spoken from someone. She looked down the street and saw Mayko, blood keeper standing
there staring off into space. She headed over to her and poked her on the head. Mayko jumped a foot in the air and glared down at the yellow hared keeper.

Maya stood up and walked out of the house not telling the other two where she was going. She phased into the shadows and reappeared in front of Reyoko's
cave. She didn't know what his reaction would be but she couldn't act anymore. She gave up the nicy nice attitude towards the keepers and decided to take
her old role back. She told Rianna that she would let her do what she wanted when she was going to leave Reyoko's service. Reyoko and her knew what she
was going to do but she still didn't know how she would be treated by Reyoko after killing him. even if it had to be done. Maya sighed and made her way
into the cave.

Chapter four: Memories

Four girls lay on their beds sleeping, unaware of what was going on outside their bedroom walls. Unaware that someone who they once thought of as a friend was a traitor and that a vampire was out for their blood. They were suddenly surrounded in a brilliant aurora of lights and something in their minds broke and memories came flooding back. The lights vanished and two girls sighed somewhere beyond the parameter of the walls surrounding the for basic elemental keepers.

Mayko and Rianna made their way back to the house that Syria and Kiry were living in.

"Rianna You know someone might think that you are playing up different people every night you know that don't you," said Syru walking out looking at Mayko.

Mayko looked at Syria.
"Well, well, if it isn't the little crystal keeper," Rianna elbowed Mayko in the ribs to make her shut up.

"Mayko we might not like each other but we have to work with each other," said Kiry standing behind the enraged crystal keeper.

It was late morning when Koto awoke. She had a pounding headache and she rolled over and got out of bed, walking over to her mirror to check if anything was wrong with her. She looked into the mirror and held up her hand which was holding a fireball, "I'm back! How could of I forgotten so easily," The orange haired fireball bolted out the door to find the rest of her friends, being trailed by a furious darkness keeper the entire time.

Chapter five: double crossing a double-crosser

Maya wanted to scream, no she wanted to rip this upstart vampire into shreds. Here they were in a cave trying to bring back someone who was for lack of a better term a stupid tit pinching bitch. They were trying to bring Nemesis back but knowing Rianna’s magic like she did she knew that it was a waste of precious time. She had spent all morning following Koto who was trying to find her other friends. Maya just wanted to get back to the house to spend some time with Rianna. She knew what was going on. She just didn’t want to admit it. She was playing both sides, She knew who would win in the end and it wasn’t Malik, she would make sure of that but before then The crystal keeper and the blood keeper would die, painfully if she had anything to say about it.

The look into the mind of an insane darkness keeper,” Maya smirked after bidding farewell to Malik to do a few things on her own. Rianna wasn’t the only one who heard that prophecy last night and she too knew what it was talking about but those dammed things could be taken in so many ways it wasn’t funny. For some unexplainable reason Maya was itching to get her hands on a large cup of coffee with a dozen sugars.
“Don’t double-cross a double-crosser! That act will come back to haunt you Reyoko.”

Maya grinned after stopping in a coffee shop, she wasn’t sure how to do what she needed to do but that vampire wouldn’t get even close to hurting her friends. Nemesis was right about one thing in the forest that night she was a traitor. A traitor to the evil maniac who wanted control over her and her sisters lives.
Noticing Rianna sitting on a tree Maya smiled for the first time in hours.
“What is it with us and sitting on trees or is it just a keeper thing. I can’t say anything here Ria but you weren’t the only one who heard that dammed prophecy last night. I can only say that for now you have to trust me. There is something I need to do and beg that you let me do it. It is the only way we can win, it is the only way that things will be back to the way we wanted them before we got into the fight with Reyoko,”
“You know Maya you sort of sound like me. I’m guessing you are doing something you don’t want the others to know about. All I have to say is I trust you and be careful. I have no intentions on loosing you.”

The two smiled at each other for a moment and that was all it took for Rianna to know what was going on.
“Never cross a double agent, you will live to regret it!

Chapter six: Murder and assassination

Kege was sitting in the park when she saw Koto run by looking frazzled and worried.
“Hey Koto! What’s up,”
“I can’t find Ume anywhere. I’ve got Yama looking over the rest of the town and I was just at her frequent haunts,”

Kege’s eyebrow rose. It wasn’t like Ume to go missing. Not like this anyway.
“Did you check her house, talk to her parents?”
“Yes”

“and, what did they say!”
““Nothing, they said she left early this morning with her new boyfriend, but that’s the thing, Ume doesn’t have a boyfriend. She’s too much of a geek for one.”

Koto and Kege looked up as a third voice entered the conversation
“Not that geeky is a bad thing,”
“Rianna! But you’re dead! Are you a ghost? Oh wait, you can’t be a ghost. You’re not transparent”

“Good observation Kege! No I’m alive, again” I know where Ume is and I need you two to go find Yama. I’m going to need all of your help with this.

Mayko was standing on top of one of the tall apartment buildings facing the ocean that was right down the street. Yama was standing there looking at the water with two other girls. Koto and Kege had just walked over to her when Mayko felt something metallic press against her throat.
“Say one word and I swear I’ll slit your throat,”
Mayko couldn’t tell the gender of the person because their voice was very low and hissy. She also knew that if she didn’t do something she was surely going to die, painfully. She couldn’t face death, not after everything. No matter how powerfull the keepers are they all have flaws. Even the darkest of them, her and Maya had flaws. She grabbed the person’s arm and twisted away. Mayko hissed as she felt the cool metal of the knife blade leev a deep cut on her cheak.

Kiry entered the house and immediately knew that something was wrong. There was a large amount of dark energy in the area but it wasn’t what she expected. It wasn’t maya’s, or was it. She couldn’t defend herself, not yet at any rate. She needed to find a pendant sturdy and strong enough to hold the bulk of her dream powers. Edging slowly in to the room she shaired with Syru she let out a blood kertling scream. There were two bodies on the bed, both of them unmistakably dead. Syru and Ume were laying face up with bite marks on their necks and jagged slashes across their throats. Kiry just couldn’t help but wonder, Wind and crystal, two of the elements that could deal with darkness without becoming tainted and without losing a little bit of their souls. Someone must of known that but who.

Mayko rolled away from the cloked person who she now knew was Maya. She didn’t understand what was going on but if Maya wanted a fight she was going to get one.
“Death is waiting, It’s time to die.”
Mayko hadn’t heard those words in a long time. She braced herself to absorb any blow that was sent her way but all she felt was a mind numbing cold and then nothing.

Maya looked down at the lifeless body of Mayko and sighed. She didn’t want to do that but she had to. She just hoped that Rianna would understand her reasons why. Maya had no idea that Ume and Syru were also dead and she also had no idea that Koto, Kege and Yama were standing only feet away, unaware of what had started taking place.

Chapter seven: Pain and understanding

“Nooo!” Rianna screamed as a skull splitting pain coursed through out her body. There were only two things that could make her feel like that. A burst of pure dark energy and the death of someone bonded to her. The only two people who were bonded to her were Maya and Mayko. She knew that it wasn’t Maya who was dead because she would be as well, they were sisters after all. Then that could only mean…, She screamed again and took off running to where she knew the last place for the blood keeper to be. Landing at the top of the building she saw Maya cradling Mayko’s head in her lap.
“Maya! What the fuck happened!”
Maya looked up and laying mayko’s head down stood up, while pulling something out of the pocket of her jeans.

Rianna looked at what Maya was holding and she felt the blood drain from her face. In maya’s hand was a pendant with a swirling mass of power in it. On the other chain that she was holding was soul magic. Rianna now knew what had happened. She took a step towards her sister, then another one. Taking the soul of Mayko out of her sister’s hand she pocketed it.
“I know you had to but why, why her Maya, why not any of the others. I know that she was their daughter but that was no reason to…” Rianna’s voice so far hadn’t cracked but it was getting close.
“They are trying to bring Nemesis back, the female blood tie to her needed to die to stop that from happening. Rianna you know that as well as I do. Her soul is in there. we can bring her back. It’s just going to have to wait until Rioko isn’t trying to do that anymore.” Maya sighed and looked at Rianna.
“I know. Trust me, I do know. It still hurts though. Koto, Kege and Yama are down below, probably wondering where I bolted off to. In a few weeks we’ll move against them and deal with them.”

Maya sighed and looked down. She knew that Ria was hurting but the two also knew that in times of peril, sacrifices needed to be made, some more devastating than others. They had been here before, one of them doing something that hurt the other and they had always moved on, but Maya wasn’t so sure that Rianna would move on this time. She would just have to wait and see.

Chapter eight: Dreamscape

She was floating in a void of color and wind, a void of swirling color and wind. She didn’t know how she got there but she didn’t like it. Her head was spinning and flashes of things kept floating in front of her. The day her and the other three became the elemental keepers, meeting Rianna, Defeating Reyoko, and things from her past. The one thing that stuck in her head was a floating ruby necklace but she didn’t know why. Something whispered but she couldn’t make out what it was saying. She closed her eyes and tried to block out everything, but there was still that dammed whispering!
“Go away,” she thought, “Just go away and let me sleep!”

Kiry heard a pair of footsteps running towards her and she looked up to see Rianna standing in front of her.
“Ria, what’s wrong,”
“Koto, the fire keeper has gone into a dreamscape and you’re the only one who can bring her out of it,”
“I can’t, I don’t have my powers Rianna, you know that,”

Rianna just grabbed something out of her pocket and said, “It’s from Maya.”
Kiry couldn’t help but notice the way she said Maya’s name.
“Rianna, is everything alright between you and Maya?”
Rianna just turned away and walked out the door. Kiry put on the pendant and smiled as a rush of power filled her.

Kege looked up from Koto’s bed as Rianna came into the room followed by a woman with white hair.
“Kege, this is Kiry the dream keeper, she can help Koto.”
Kege just raised a questioning eyebrow at the lightning keeper and moved aside next to Yama who was leaning against the window.
“Where’s Ume,” Yama asked as she looked around the room.
“Ume, the wind keeper is dead, bitten by a vampire and drained,” said Kiry as she laid a hand on Koto’s forehead.
“How did she get like this,” she asked as she looked at the other three that were in the room.
“Rianna screamed and ran to the top of a building so we moved over to a bench and Koto just collapsed.” Yama explained then blinked, “What do you mean Ume got bitten by a vampire!”
“Just what I said, she was bitten by a vampire and had all her blood drunk, do you want me to make it simpler than that,”
“Kiry!” Rianna snapped.
“There’s a vampire named malik running around who wants to drink from the four of you, and he has already gotten one!” Rianna explained to the other two.
“Ria, Are you alright, You look like you’re still in pain. You look like you just lost your best friend.”
Rianna sighed and looked over at Yama, “I kind of did lose my best friend, one of them at least, the other, well… it’s hard to explain everything.”

Koto saw a white something form in front of her and the whispering got louder. She could now tell what it was saying.
“Fire Keeper, Fire keeper, It’s time to wake up now. Come on Koto, your other friends need you.”
Koto didn’t know who that was but she reached up and took the hand that was offered to her and felt herself be pulled back to consciousness!
“Well, that was not something I want to go through again, I mean, dreams are no fun when you’re just floating there. I would of preferred it more if I was laying in bed, next to..., well, never mind,”
Everyone in the room laughed, some not as much as the others but now that this was out of the way it was time to move on to more serious matters. They saved the life of one keeper, but there were still several others in the balance.
